Smart Travel Habits sends a message to the user via SMS or email, containing a unique link to the platform, automatically personalized for the user, and the recipient is nudged in several ways towards more climate friendly travel habits. Finally, the entire process is measured and analyzed so that anyone can easily evaluate their sustainability investment.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Users are twice as positive to switch to walking instead of taking the car, 76% more positive to switch to cycling and 62% more positive to switch to electric, gas or hybrid car, carpooling or co-driving

The Financial Benefits

  • If a municipality can encourage as little as 1 000 people to take the bike or walk instead of the car 50% of the time, they would reduce CO2 emissions with 180 kg per day, saving €126 per day or almost €46 000 a year
