The site, currently under construction, will feature 84 houses upon completion, necessitating 42 domestic bio-septic tanks and one commercial tank with a capacity of 3000 litres (3M3). We have successfully installed 14 domestic bio-septic tanks for the first phase of this gated community, and the next phase will require an additional 28 tanks to comprehensively serve the entire project. Additionally, in the first phase, we have installed 21 grease interceptors (grey water treatment points) to effectively serve each individual unit.
Upon completion of the project, the community is expected to produce approximately 25,000 litres of wastewater daily. This reclaimed water will be specifically allocated for greening and landscaping, significantly reducing the community's reliance on freshwater sources and saving them over 25,000 litres of potable water every day. This innovative approach promotes sustainability and environmental stewardship within the community.
Our biological septic tanks are easy-to-install underground tanks, made of reinforced concrete and work through a process called Bacterial Biodegradation. This process completely breaks down organic matter or black water into gases and water. The gases produced are carbon dioxide, methane and nitrogen. It takes just about 2 weeks for the breakdown of matter to be complete, ensuring that only water is discharged out of the tank. This is made possible by the combined action of both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria present in the tank. After being treated, the water can be reused for several purposes. It can be taken to a soaking area or any other place where it can be recycled for other uses. The methane and carbon dioxide gases produced during the treatment process are released into the atmosphere, while the nitrogen produced simply dissolves in the water. This nitrogen-rich water is ideal for irrigating gardens and other crops.
