About

After a successful demonstration of solar charging, battery swapping and electric tricycles from 2016 to 2020, sunE is preparing to launch its 2nd-gen service together with Batangas State University, the National Engineering University. Our new system showcases upgrades to the battery swapping system embracing the spirit and cabinet-style format pioneered by Gogoro for smaller scooter-sized vehicles. We also introduce advanced battery lifespan monitoring/tracking features. As of 2024, less than 0.1% of the Filipino Public Transportation sector has transitioned to electric. Our 2nd-gen solution is now more focused on providing an electrification path for practitioners in this sector. The state of the market here still requires closed, standalone type systems (as compared to open swapping infrastructure). sunE's system and integrated business model ensures the target ROI on the equipment while sticking to our original promise of turning the sun’s energy into cash in 24 hours.
