Azelio has a patented thermal energy storage solution with dispatchable clean power production at all hours of the day, using a Stirling engine. The storage can be charged with electricity or thermal energy from solar and wind and stored as heat in a recycled aluminum alloy. As the sun sets and or the wind stops, the heat is withdrawn on demand from the storage to a Stirling engine - delivering electricity and generating heat around the clock. The storage units can be clustered to the desired output, from 0.1 to 100 MW. With high volume components, the system is affordable already from very small size installations. Azelio's solution is a direct competitor to diesel as it has the capability to serve as a distributed sustainable baseload, in a system with solar and wind power, with the difference that Azelio's system has zero emissions and produces electricity at half the cost of diesel-generated electricity.
