An early warning of crop stressors, for growers to increase yields and choose more sustainable crop protection
PhytlSigns is a plant electrophysiology sensor. Think of it as a heart rate monitor for plants showing their real-time responses to environmental changes. It provides fast feedback on plants’ responses to climate changes and to a wide range of plant stressors, like drought, nutrient deficiencies, insect infestations or fungal infections. It is currently used by plant breeders and agricultural chemicals (ag-chem) suppliers for product development, giving new insights as to how plants respond to environmental conditions and how and when crop protection treatments work, and by early adopter growers for visualising plant responses to climate conditions and for diagnosing crop stressors before visual symptoms are evident. PhytlSigns provides early warnings of a wide range of crop stressors, well before visual symptoms, enabling growers to increase yields and to choose environmentally preferable crop protection.
