At a time of major global change and the necessary changes it is bringing, the Grand Est Region, in partnership with the Solar Impulse Foundation, is keen to accelerate the energy transition and roll out ecological innovations across its territory through the Solar Impulse label. Fully committed to the ecological, digital and industrial transitions, the Grand Est region is pursuing an ambitious and determined policy to mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to it. Helping industrial companies to meet the challenges of tomorrow is a major issue for the Grand Est region.
A shared vision
Through this partnership between the Grand Est Region and the Solar Impulse Foundation, the aim is to strengthen the means of action thanks to a unique vision combining economic profitability and the development of efficient solutions. In the Solar Impulse Foundation, the Grand Est Region has found an inspiring partner at the heart of innovation, enabling it to offer ecological alternatives to businesses undergoing transformation and to local authorities, to support innovative, ‘clean’ and profitable technologies in the region through the certification process, and to open up new market opportunities for them.
‘Our objective is clear: to accelerate the ecological transition while ensuring that it is adapted to specific local circumstances. Together, we are building a sustainable future by mobilising all the players around this shared ambition’.

Their commitment
With the ambition of playing a collective role in the face of climate emergencies, the Region has put in place an unprecedented mobilisation approach across all its regions.
With ‘Grand Est Région Verte’, the regional adaptation of the ‘Green France Nation’ approach, the Grand Est Region is the 1st Region to embark on this planning exercise ‘by, for and with the territories’. By outlining trajectories for decarbonisation, preserving biodiversity and adapting to climate change, the approach sets out a framework within which everyone is invited to act. The richness of this approach, which includes 30 ‘flagship’ actions, lies in the great diversity and cross-fertilisation of the contributors' views.
