About

Pot water is our most important foodstuff. I Sweden there are 1,5 million domestic hoses and 1,5 million cottages having local water wells. Of these, approximately 25% have water unsuited for human consumption. On top of these there are approximately 0.5 million cottages without access to water. The founders of RainWell (RW) have researched a new type of water purifying plant that collects rainwater and processes this to pot water. Technical verification of the plant has been done by a full-scale working prototype. RW is a new and unique combination of water-tanks, filters, analyzers and pumps which can be operated off-grid. The system is made up of a microprocessor-controlled plant made up of water -tanks, bio- and UV filter steps. The system has a capacity of producing approximately 25L/h and can be operated with a small (100W) solar panel. The system mitigates the problem of static storage of pot-water since the water is continuously recirculated in the system. RW is pending a patent, applied for November 2020 after novelty review. Other commercial water treatment solutions do not match the demands we have set, the system should operate without grid connection or fossil fuel. Furthermore, the system should be: • circular • sustainable – without chemicals, be off-grid operated • independent of expense filter changes or other intensive maintenance
