About

PLA is a 100% biobased polymer derived from corn starch (or even sugar cane or beets). Unlike other filaments, co-produced PLAs are naturally colored by the recycling of waste (recovered in short circuits) after their first life cycles in different sectors (agriculture, catering, etc.). Francofil offers original filaments made from mussel shells, oysters, scallops, wheat offcuts, spent grains of beer, coffee grounds… which print like standard PLA. Manufactured at our production site in Normandy, these filaments without industrial dyes or additives will guarantee new effects and new textures while promoting the circular economy.
