About
Drovid is a Chilean SME that protects forests by preventing forest fires and illegal logging. Its AI technology processes data from the sky through UAVs with extended autonomy, achieving autonomous and sustainable monitoring of large forest territories. The technology not only detects fire outbreaks at an early stage, but also prevents illegal and risky human activities that may cause a fire or illegal logging. To do so, it alerts in real time and sends manageable data to prevention brigades and emergency response teams, with the aim of proactively safeguarding ecosystems and communities. Currently, the company is protecting 2,500 hectares through a pilot in the Maule region of Chile, and its main markets of interest are: Brazil, Chile, USA, India, European Union and Australia. Drovid's mission is to put technology to the care of the environment and society, and its purpose is to help mitigate the human behavior responsible for 99% of these problems globally.
